Trying to replace water pump.rented tool to remove fan clucth nut, but didn't work. any other suggestions!!!
You may need what I call a breaker bar. a metal pipe to fit over your ratchet, wrench etc. to give you more leverage to break the nut loose. I've always made my own tool if your talking about the tool with two prongs that slide into holes. and the I just let it wedge itself in somewhere and use the breaker bar to get the nut off

Agreed. Change the coolant temperature sensor. Make sure NOT to use teflon tape on the switch. This will not allow the switch to ground and the switch will never be read correctly by the computer.

hi you usuraly can use a long screwdriver to use as a stop to get the big nut off.depending or the rotation of your motor will determin the rotation to remove the big nut.if fan rotates clock wise turn nut clockwise.if counterckockwise turn nut counterclockwise.

USUALLY I LOOSEN ALL OF THE BOLTS BEFORE I TAKE THE BELT OFF TO HELP KEEP THE PULLEY FROM TURNING... USE A LONG SCREWDRIVER OR PRYBAR .. PUT IT BETWEEN THE TWO OTHER BOLTS AND LOOSEN THE 3RD. CONTINUE TILL ALL ARE LOOSE.. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REMOVED 2 OF 3 BOLTS THEN RE INSTALL THE OTHER 2 A FEW THREADS SO YOU CAN PUT THE SCREWDRIVER IN BETWEEN THEM TO STOP THE PULLEY FROM TURNING.

it should come off turning left, you may need a tool if you dont have a wrench or big channel lock pliers to try.
