SOURCE: YJ Blinker Relay

Hi there,

Both the hazard and the blinker flashers are located on the fuse panel. They pull straight out.

When both turn signals fail, the cause may be a blown fuse, a faulty flasher, a broken turn signal switch or a bad connection.

When you try the turn signals, do they light up and not blink?
-If so, probably the flasher unit.

When you try the turn signals, does nothing happen?
-Check the fuse

Let me know if the problem continues after replacing the flasher.

Mike

SOURCE: 98 Jeep Wrangler turn signals and flashers don't work

The tail lights on the 98 use the screws that hold the light to the body of the jeep to ground the lights. Chances are the wholes that the screws/bolts goes into have a coating of rust around them and are stopping the lights from grounding. This may not be the solution but you need to eliminate this from your list.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - flasher relay location

More than likely you have a bad ground. Under the rear of the vehicle, behind the rear bumper there will be a few wires running to a bolt in the frame (left side i think) Check that no wires are loose or boken. Also if you have a trailer wiring harness, check to see if it has not been damaged. Let me know if this helps :)

I'm trying to replace the hazard signal flasher & the turn signal flasher on my 95 Wrangler. Neither one will come out of the fuse box freely even after "considerable" pressure applied to withdraw...

Verify by turning on the 4 way flasher & turn signals you have the right units, you will feel them click if you touch them. If they are indeed the right ones (sometimes relays are mistaken for flasher units) they can be wiggled & pulled straight out. The spade terminals that hold them in are metal & go into another metal terminal. Sometimes they fight you if they have never been changed.

Where is the flasher located in the 2003 Lincoln aviator

Flasher? Do you mean the fuse or relay for the emergency flashers? Look in your Owner's Manual. It will have a diagram showing all of this. If you don't have one, get something better. Hayne's Repair Manuals are only about $25.00 and worth every penny. You'd be amazed what you can do yourself when you have instructions and photos. Good luck.

My signals and flasher quit working 2002, Jeep Grand Cherokee

in your vehicles owner manual, look up fuses, and flasher units or flasher relay. Fuses are normally located under the dash, but when both turn signals quit working it is usually the relay. The relay is located under the hood yours owners manual should show you the location.
