2005 chevrolet avalanche driver's side ac blowing hot passenger side cold

When ac is on, driver's side ac is hot; passenger side is cold. Have done the multiple resets (battery disconnected fuse out etc) and will not correct? The driver's side will blow cold for approx. 15 seconds and then pump out hot air once damper reverses. It seems there is a damper that clicks once in the upper dash when the driver's side moves from cold to hot. What is the fix

I have the same problem the acuator under the dash on the right side of the transmission hump controls the left side temp just disconnect it and it will stay on ac and in the winter plug it up put it on heat and disconnect it and it will save u alot of money and time

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Silverado AC is blowing warm air on passenger side.

You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator

the blend motor on the vehicle is probably bad

SOURCE: 2004 chevrolet suburban AC blows hot/cold at same time

You need to replace the drivers side temp actuator that is located on the left side of the HVAC box. It is retained by 3 screws and is fairly easy to replace.

the blend door actuator located on the air box (right hand side under dash) is prob. inop. worst case senerio the blend door its self is broken. I have replaced the actuator more than anything.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

Turn your AC off.
