Did you vacuum the a/c before refilling? If the a/c is cool not cold try giving it a little shot of 134a to see if it drops a little colder. You should see a dash vent temp of 45 degrees with med fan speed, when there is air flow through the condenser at the front.Use a fan in front of the rad when filling a/c.

SOURCE: Power steering pump still leaks after putting new one in.

the bubbles are just air in the system, it will eventualy go away. are you sure the leak is from the pump or is it just comming out the cap because of the air. also did you chk. the pressure line? that maybe where your leak is. unless you got a crack in the resavor, its most likely the pressure line. there is a pressure line and a return line.

SOURCE: Dakota power steering leak

That's the power steering pressure switch and it is very easy to replace. I don't know how much the part is, but it cant be very much. It's a very simple switch. I'd just replace it.

SOURCE: not cooling

your low for 134A should not exeeed 45 Psi and highs for 134A shouldent get above 300. When your replacing stuff are you cleaning out the residue from your evap and condensor prior to reinstalling Freon?allso adding oil. and vacumeing your system prior to charging helps to get all the moisture out. In high humidity its crutial for optimal cooling and when system is open to the humidity for some time it gets loaded with water and vacuming can sometimes take as long as 10 hours

SOURCE: Changed Compressor not blowing cold enough

If you tried using a refrigeration "sealing" product before changing out the compressor, you most likely do need to replace the expansion valve.

The valve "flutters" open/close/open/close/etc/etc when in operation. The purpose is to allow the compessor to build up enough pressure to change the freon to a gaseous state. Once you put in the sealer, the valve becomes plugged with the product and cannot seat completely. After this happens, you never get a full phase change because the pressure cannot build up enough. You will experience reduced cooling. Change the Exp. valve and you'll be set. In the future, it is not advisable to ever use the sealer products as this can cause damage to other system parts, and especially the recovery units at the shop.

Check vacuum lines going to evap canister for cracks or splits, causes to much raw air intake.

Ensure that coolant mixture is correct, that air has been bled from
cooling system. Check that water temp is okay and fan cutting
when it should. If all is okay have the idle checked.

To much difference between 04 and 97. To use an 04 ECM, you need the trucks complete wiring harness. Then you would have to change the transmission also. You better get in line to sue him also..

2001 dodge dakota sport with 2.5 engine idles high when I start it up, continues idling high, when pushing clutch in to change gears it idles extremely high

Does it do it if you disconnect the idle air control valve ?
You need to know if its a vac leak or if the computer is making the valve open too far.

I have a 1996 windstar, and when I select heat or AC to my face/feet, or defrost, my engine ramps up to 4rpm's, but if I select the face or feet only my engine remains normal. What's the problem?

Could be a problem with the idle air control valve, or something electrical.
When you command the defrost or ac on, the compressor is supposed to kick on along with the radiator fan. The computer bumps up the idle to recover from the extra load on the engine. If the compressor does not work, the extra RPM is not needed.
But the RPM should only go up about 2 or 300 above normal speed, even if the compressor is not working. So if it is going up to 4000 instead of say 1000 something is going on with the idle air control.

Ford diesel excusion A/C won't cool

Any performance testing re auto A/C requires consistant engine revs highway revs eg 1800 exit ramp eg idle stop start 800revs leading to much reduced A/C compressor speed and therefore performance output .Also all testing its desirable to close the bonnet to control design air flow through the engine bay .Also check under dash passenger side air flow pos a filter on return air duct or something sucked up into paper etc .good luck!

A/C high pressure hose

I think I've located the part you want. Very difficult to find. There are 2 part numbers you may want to hold onto. YF2490 -Discharge line YF2165 - Suction line Accumulator to Compressor. I think it's the Suction line you're looking for. You can find it here: 97 Lincoln Suction Line Best of luck on your repair.
