How to install a timing belt on a 2.2 1990 dodge shadow

A lot of work. You will need to remove an engine mount, all plastic covers, turn the engine so that all timing marks line up with the little marks on the engine. Release the tension on the timing belt, remove the belt, put the new belt on, let the tension go back onto the belt, ensure that neither cam has moved away from the mark. Ensure that the crankshaft is still on the mark, then reassemble the outer covers, install the serpentine belt and the mount. Please go to the internet and search for videos and pictures. Pictures tell a thousand words. Here is a link. Replacing Chrysler 2 2 and 2 5 liter engine timing belts

Timing belt marks on 1.5 in picture

did the belt break or is this regular maint??? it is an interfearance
head , if it broke the valves will all be bent end of that story.
if you have it apart be very careful turning things (you will hit valves) if old belt is still on ,take a paint marker , mark the belt and cam gears and the crank with one dot one the belt edge and gear face. remove belt ,lay new belt edge to edge and transfer marks exactly onto new belt slip new belt onto cams n crank verify everything is matched to old marks if tensioner is adjustable dont make it to tight or it will "sing" this way if it was running when you shut it off it does not matter where the timing belt marks are because nothing should be out time.

Where is the water pump located on a 2003 kia sorento

It is hard to find because like Forthstarbo says it is behind the belt cover but if you do not know the car you have to find that. So look for belts at one end of the engine and you will see a belt. It is behind the belt and here is a picture of the water pump. it is a major job as you have to pull the entire front and at least one pulley.

I need the belt diagram for a 1982-83 honda civic.

Here is a link to every picture and belt you could possibly need. Looks like only an alternator belt that is easy and a timing belt that is more involved but these pictures are great!!

How to replace water pump on 2000 volkswagon beetle with1.8 liter turbo engine?

The following steps need to be taken to remove the pump.

1. Remove the ribbed belt. Compress the tensioner and remove the belt. Remove the ribbed belt tensioner.

2. Remove the upper timing belt cover.

3. Align your timing belt marks. The following pictures are for the cam timing mark, the flywheel timing mark for an automatic, flywheel timing for a manual and the marks on the harmonic balancer.

4. loosen the timing belt. There is a 13mm head nut that keeps the tensioner in place. Loosen this nut and turn the tensioner clockwise to get come slack in the belt. You are going to need a tool to get tension back on the belt. I use the tool pictured (picture of how to tension the belt) but know of people using snap ring pliers to rotate the tensioner.

5. Slip the timing belt off of the cam drive sprocket and off of the water pump.

6. Remove the water pump retaining bolts pictured and remove the water pump. The pump can often be stuck in place. A screwdriver carefully used can help in getting the pump

7. Moisten the o-ring with coolant before installing the new pump. Install the new pump.

8. Install the belt and tension as shown in the picture attached above. Turn the engine over by hand through a full revolution of the cam gear. Re-check the timing marks. The marks will often be off, don't be discouraged by this, it happens to everyone. If the marks are off loosen the belt and slip it the amount of teeth needed to align the marks.

9. Install the items taken off during the removal of the pump, fill the system with coolant and start the engine. The system will pretty much bleed itself out as it reaches operating temperature.
