Not sure what the problem here is.
The codes are for the security system - - the key is not sending a signal or the right signal for the car to start.
Could be a problem with the lock cylinder which may have a sensor for the key inside it.

2007 Nissan Maxima have two keys no fobs, won't start, no fire, have codes P1610, and P1614

It means that unregistered key used 5 times, BCM or ECM is malfunctioning

To resolve the issue, you can contact the dealer and re-register all chip keys

Just replaced ignition switch cylinderon 04' escalade. Same problem keys wont turn to on position

You replaced the ignition switch or the lock cylinder? They are two distinctly different things. If the key goes in, but won’t turn, it’s probably the lock cylinder. The tumblers can wear out over time and the grit jambs up the cylinder.

Were is the computer located

In regards to the 1614 code. You should/could also see code 1610.

P1610/P1614
P1610- Ignition key/engine control module (ECM) malfunction
P1614- Immobilizer control module (ATS) coding plug communication-no signal. (ATS=anti theft system)
The ECM is getting a signal form 1614 that the key/ignition is not providing a correct code. Hence, the programing is told to fail engine start. Should the engine failing to start with 1 key, try the other key.
Should the Anti Theft System go into lock mode with one key, try the second key. If that does not unlock it then do this: with either key turn the ignition to ON position for 5 seconds then BACK to OFF position for 5 seconds, the to On position for 5 seconds then back to the OFF position for 5 seconds. If the ignition key is and intergrated key (remote: unlock, lock) the batteries should be changed in both keys. Low battery or dead battery provides low or no security code signals to ECM -- hence incorrect or no signal.
When replacing the batteries: be sitting in the drivers seat with the 2 keys within 24 inches of each other. And make the battery change within 1 minute for each key and within 4 minutes of the first key.
If that does not work,Check you users manual for the ignition key sequence on/off series to relearn the on board car computer to the keys.

Replaced old ignition with new one and the new ignition won't lock in place

If the ignition wont lock in place, just redo it but this time you need to realize that you install the key cylinder with the key in the ON postion, straight into the lock cylinder housing, aligning the retaining tabs,on the key cylinder with the hole in the lock cylinder housing. Then turn the key to the off position,

The steering wheel was turned when the key was removed. So when you try to turn on the key, turn the wheel one way and the other way to release the pressure on the key. The key should turn ok.
Hope this helps.

I have a 1999 dodge caravan, the key won't turn in the ignition

sounds like either the key or the lock cylinder is worn out
if you have a spare key try it
if it wont turn it you need a new lock cylinder with new keys

Removal
  1. NOTE: The following procedure applies to vehicles that have functional ignition switch lock cylinders (11582), lock cylinder keys are available for these vehicles or the lock cylinder key numbers are known and the proper key can be made.

Disconnect battery ground cable (14301). Refer to Section 14-01 .
  1. Turn ignition switch lock cylinder to RUN position.
