Trans started by jerking and now wont move

Every one I've replaced was stuck. You need to jerk it out. I've pried carefully with a flat blade screwdriver and I've ised a small pry bar as well. Some have a ring on the end that keeps it from pulling out. You need to keep jerking at it and once the ring lines up it will just about fall out. Check and see if the new axle has a ring on it as well. Sometimes you need to move it from the old one onto the new one.

The problem can be just a bad shift solenoid a scanner can test this ( (Factory type) or install a pressure gauge to line port on top of trans just in front or master cylinder 7/16 plug i think measure line pressure in park then in drive drops to zero then the forward clutch is leaking will need internal repairs.

D5 blinking is a trans code, problem. A scanner is needed for the OBD plug to get the code. Trans issues very common on this model.

Check the fluid

which oil trans or engine oil? if trans, check the fluid line fron trans to radiator, trans oilpan gasket, if engine oil check oil filter, oil presure switch

Is your car Parked on a hill. Do you use the E-brake.
1st. Make sure you, press the bake peddle.
2nd.If the car is parked on a little hill facing up or down
you'll need to move the car a little. Up or down.
3rd. When the car is parked not level the transmission
parking PAW or PARKING lock inside the Transmission
may have to mush pressure on on it to move easily
So, that is probably the problem. Move the car eighter way
to relieve the presser off the parking Paw. When parking the car
when stoped, Leave your foot presure on the brake pedal.
set the E- Brake then put, the trans into PARK.This way
The presure, in the trans parking lock is not to tight.

Testing your trans with a scanner will be required as your trans is electronically controlled, you could also have a engine missfire and this could possibly feel like the transmission jerking. Once again testing will a capable scanner will be required to determine any engine electronic faults.

The transmission has not geared it self all the way to first gear and is trying to start off in second, once the car starts to move it gears back down to first gear which gives you the jerking motion you feel. Easy fix, the shift solenoid may be stuck due to dirt in the fluid and the transmission needs to be serviced, and or the solenoid may need to be replaced and the boost valve. Have the transmission serviced and have them check the transmission line pressure which would indicate if the boost valve is worn and the solenoid is getting stuck or check valve. Good luck and this should cost you around $150.00 in total so call around.

When you rebuilt the trans did you get everything absolutely clean? You need to make sure that the solenoids are hooked up properly and you have power to them. Then do a presure check on the unit. Let me know.
