The Serpentine Belt Diagram is here. They now call it a 'serpentine belt' because the belt no longer drives the fan. The fan is electric.

CS = Crankshaft
Gen = Alternator
G = Guide pulley
T = Tensioner pulley
AC = Air Conditioning
PAS = Power Assisted Steering

have you been to the dealers for a read out of the surpentine belt diagram. they will give a diagram for nothing. most of the time.

If the belts are there, make your own diagram. How many belts are there? 2 or 3 If it has 2 or 3 belts they only go one way.

Above the photo are 2 PDF documents. The first - Routing Guide gives you the diagram code for the car and engine. See page 30 for the 89 CHEV Corsica 2 liter.
There are 2 belts - one for the air conditioned equipped engine (diagram 6-3) and one without the aircon (diagram 5.3).

Next go to the second document - Illustration guide PDF document - for those 2 belt diagrams.

Remove the serpentine belt by using a breakover bar, rachet or serpentine belt removal tool with the correct size socket for the pulley mounting bolt. Rotate tensioner arm to release tension. Remove the belt.

that engine uses 2 belts I believe. if the diagram isnt clear, draw your own. Gates belts has diagrams for belt routings, on their website, look up yiu car, find the belt, then click on the camera icon to see the routing.
