The engine light is flashing and the horsepower is low. It has a hard time pulling hills also. Think it may be a fuel injector has gone out but I want to make sure before I go out and buy a new one. Could there be trash in the engine?
Hi there:
If the Check Engine Light comes on in the city but goes off on
the freeway, then the fault is present during city driving conditions.
Pay attention to whether or not the vehicle runs or drives any
differently when the Check Engine Light illuminates. If vehicle
performance does change, drive the car as little as possible and take it
to be checked by a service professional as soon as possible. If there
is no change in vehicle performance, you can drive home, but have it
inspected as soon as possible. In this condition, you run a risk of the
vehicle dying or not starting.
* The Check Engine Light comes on and stays on.
If
the Check Engine Light illuminates constantly during driving with no
noticeable driving or performance problems, there is a permanent fault
in the emission control system. When this happens, the computer that
controls the emission system usually has a backup program that runs
while the fault is present. (These backup programs are often referred to
as "limp home" mode programs.) You should get the vehicle serviced as
soon as possible, but in most cases, the vehicle will continue to
operate, though you run a risk of it dying or not starting.
Hope
this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll
appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial
comment about this answer.

If you are talking about the cooling fan relay for the radiator there is no low speed and high speed relay. There is only one relay and it is behind the grill revitted to the bumper rail. It is doesnt look like you typical relay.

1.) Open the hood of your van
2.) On the passenger side of the vehicle, look behind the headlight
enclosure. You will see a set of wires running into the back of it.
This is the power clip. Either with your hand or a flat-head
screwdriver, pop the power clip off.
3.) There is a plastic ring encasing the light bulb. Turn the
ring counter-clockwise and pull it out of the socket and set it aside.
4.) Pull firmly on the light bulb to remove it.
5.) Place the new light bulb into the same opening. Be careful
not to touch the glass part of the new bulb. The oils in your skin can
substantially reduce the life of the new bulb.
6.) Replace the plastic ring and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
7.) Reattach the power clip to the back of the bulb.
