USUALLY A SHIFT SOLENOID DTC IS REPAIRED BY REPLACING THE TRANS SOLENOID PACK ASSEMBLY..LOCATED ON OUTSIDE OF TRANSMISSION..YOU MUST BE CAREFUL WHEN CHANGING PACK..CLEAN ALL DIRT/DEBRIS FROM OUTSIDE OF PACK..YOU DON'T WANT ANY DIRT TO ENTER TRANSMISSION..SOLENOID IS A SMALL BOX LOCATED ON SIDE OF TRANS FACING FRONT OF VEHICLE..YOU MUST REMOVE TRANS COOLER LINE HOSES FROM FITTINGS ON TRANS..REMOVE INPUT SPEED SENSOR..UNPLUG PACK..8MM SCREW HOLDS IT..3 BOLTS HOLD PACK TO TRANS..YOU MUST CLEAN ALL GASKET RESIDUE THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING PACK..I'D RECOMMEND GETTING SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE THIS BEFORE IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DOING THIS..I HOPE THIS HELPS

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

SOURCE: I need to find out where the shift solenoid is located on the tra

I've been having this problem with this car for a while. This is the third time which I needed to change the damn solenoid in 3 years. You need to take the whole air filter off,you have in the front two screws, and two more just to loose the clamps. You need to pull the whole thing out, once you take it out,you should be able to see it under two black hoses,it has 3 screws into it,it's very easy to take off and replace, about 2 hours total. No more domestic cars for me for as long as I live!Good luck!

The connector is directly above the drivers right leg, just under the panel. It is hard to find, because it is not on the panel itself, but below it. Since it is below the panel, its very hard to locate the first time. You need a good flash light and some patience, and once you find it, you might laugh, because it was there all along, just hiding.

No, it is not the transmission. Most likely cause is the "Camshaft Sensor", and you should be getting P0340 error, but not always. It downshifts and hits 30mph as a safety feature. It happened on my car while driving on the freeway at night, and everyone around me was driving 75 mph. Cars were honking, high beam lights flashing, and they would not let me change lanes, a middle finger was pointed at me, with shouting out the window, angry expressions on peoples faces, tires screeching and someone had almost crashed into my car, not once, but twice, as I pulled off to the side of the road.

If your vehicle has more than 80K miles, sensors start going bad, and you just have to change them. The 4 sensors that gave the most problems an my car were Camshaft Sensor, Crankshaft Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, and of course the Thermostat. Also, one of the Oxygen Sensors showed bad on the diagnostic, but gave no problems.

1st try and search for a vaccum leak, due to the fact that these vehicles have had some bad problems with the length of wires and hoses, if there is a vaccum leak in the vehicle somewhere that will trigger other malfunctions in your vehicle. Using a can of starting fluid or Brake cleaner spray lightly spray around our engine til you hear the motor rev-up and the spot you have sprayed will determine where your vaccum leak will be. And then check under your distributor cap for any moisture be sure to take a rag and wipe and residue off. Also check the firing order on your distributor.

Dodge durango po753

On your first listing you under 04 durango. But now it makes more sense. On that year truck i have replaced the 3-4 shift solenoid for this code many times. You have to remove the valve body from the trans. The solenoid mounted on the valvebody.

Transmission code PO753, how to repair?

PO753 code on a Durango can also be caused by a bad transmision relay in the relay -fuse block behind the battery in the engine compartment. (relay # 31 on 1999 Durango) Before you attempt to replace the 3-4 solenoid, or take to a transmission shop, try changing the relay out with another known good relay, reset the code and try it. I learned this today from an honest transmission shop. Shifts normally again, check engine light is out, and the shop did not charge me a dime. Kudos to Trans Medic in Gresham OR.
