Make sure all the air has been bled from the cooling system. Make sure there is nothing restricting the airflow through the radiator ( mud etc ). If ok, possible defective water pump impeller or restriction internal to the radiator not allowing the coolant to flow effectively. Worst case would be a defective headgasket
Check your coolant level, if it is OK,check for a bad theromstat or bad water pump. Check your water pump belt, replace if worn, damaged or missing, also check the tension of the belt. It should be about a 1/4 inch deflection.
I had that happen to me. and i am sorry to tell you this but its not a cheap fix. It sounds like its the temp control, That is the is the whole panel where you control all your heater adjustments.
1st make sure your cooling fans turn on. If they do, you probably have air in your cooling system. If you don't know where the bleed valve is or how to bleed the cooling system, check out this link. COOLANT BLEED VALVE
Follow the top radiator hose to a metel housing that the hose is attached to at the engine. There is usually 2 bolts that hold the thermostat house on.
