The car will start every morning, but it will just shut down on me driving down the road for a split sec. the engine light comes on, but then it runs normally. As long as i crank it every few hours during the day it fine. but if i wait till the end of my eight hour shift chances are it want start. not without adding starting fluid.

ok; first your car probably has a "rollover switch" this is usally located in the trunk on the right side it can cause this problem but, in your case I think the ground cable that grounds your engine is the culprit check on the engine block for a bolt with a large braided cable that fastens to the frame or sheetmetal of your car remove the bolt(s) and scrape away the paint, grease etc. and, rebolt (the radio is grounded seperately) the gages, lights on dash and, the engine ignition MUST be grounded to the frame to work.

if u checked the codes and it showed that a o2 sensor is bad make sure ur on the rite one as in {sensor 1 bank1 or sensor1 bank 2} when u change a sensor always make sure u got the rite one.
hope this helps

I had the same problem with my 96 Aurora. I guarantee it's the fuel pressure regulator. Had mine replaced by GM dealer started like a new car
