Just recently i changed the spark plugs in my 2002 325i and the first thing i noticed when i got in the car, was that the fuel guage would move to 3/4 full (which is how much gas was in the tank), down to a little under half and then back to half.
This is just when i turn the ignition, not turning the car on. After i turned the car on and ran it for a lil while it seemed fine, at idle its smooth and also while driving. But now i notice that its drinking a lot of gas and when i filled up, the guage did the same thing.

ANY IDEAS?
It's very unlikely that changing the spark plugs would cause the fault you describe. In fact I can't see how it could.
Your car may not be using more fuel - it may be that the fuel gauge is giving a false reading of what is in the tank.
I would suspect the fuel sender unit - it's in the fuel tank. The unit is electrically operated via a rheostat - as the float level moves up and down according to the level of fuel in the tank it alters the current - which gives a reading as your fuel gauge.
You should be able to see the electrical connectors of the sender unit on the top of the tank (you may have to remove the rear seat or a panel inside the car - above the tank). Check the wires for cleanliness and security.
If the problem persists ask a workshop for a second opinion. It's not a difficult job changing a sender unit, though I don't know how much one would cost for your vehicle.

if the problem is with the knob being lose inside the radio, it can be repaired. I have been able to successfully repair every one that came into my dealership. most dealers will not attempt a repair. another alternative is to call a reputable audio installer/retailer and see if they will repair it.

SOURCE: 2001 bmw 325i is misfiring?
misfire happens because there is still fuel not burned in the cylinder so when its pushed out its burned in exhaust tube because the heat thats why you hear these small explosions. this caused if your sparking pluge not firing well . or there is a leak in the intake valve . in your case i advice you to check your sparking plug . if this helped pls vooote
