A chipped key is just for your car. One can be made but not copied and your ignition will have to be removed and sent in to do it. Otherwise a new key can be programmed with your car. I would try a different dealer. Or get a new ignition

We have a 2001 hyundai accent. There are 2 chipped keys that have been programmed by the dealer that we can use to drive the vehicle. We also have a 3rd key that we purchased as a spare but it only unlocks...

Only a dealer can make and program a chipped key.To program it yourself requires a machine which probably costs at least $2,000-$3,000 and access to the codes which would not be available to the public/consumers for any reason.Greg

2000 hyundai accent with error codes p0717 and p1529

P0717 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit No Signal
P1529 - Customer Snap Shot Request

  • NOTE_P1529 is a generic code which is issued by the TCU to tell the ECU to turn on the CEL. It means nothing by itself and is usually included with other TCU codes.

Spare/extra key will not start the car

Key must be made by the dealer and programmed to the vehicle. There is a chip in the key that the antitheft system must read to start the engine. Any key blank with matching cut can open the door, no chip necessary

I lost the original key for mmy car accent 2005.

If the key has a chip in it, the only place to get another is from a dealer.

If it doesn't, and u have a spare, any key cutting establishment can help you.

if that was your only key..

go to your nearest dealership and provide them with ALL the information regarding your vehicle, INCLUDING THE V.I.N.#.

They will get u a replacement.

Be forewarned, they are not cheap.

Good luck.

Hyundai Accent 2001 1.5L 5dr CDX model key

dealer only to programme it,but they can be cut and programmed by a specialist in automotive keys but you will need the 4 figure code for your chassis number and a lot of dealers will not give you this information. Also you cannot remove the factory immobiliser as the ECU unit is extremely complicated and no wiring diagrams are published,Dont argue or go their as iam not happy with the way bill gates look alike nerds are putting me out of work.
