WORKING ON A 2004 SATURN VUE. GETTING INTERMITTENT START N THEN QUITS, BUT IF HE PUTS IT IN NEUTRAL IT WILL START AND STAY RUNNING. INTERMITTENT WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH, AGAIN IF YOU PUT IT IN NEUTRAL THEY GO OUT. HAVE HAD ONGOING ISSUE WITH THIS. WE HAVE REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH-WAS PATIALLY MELTED. HAVE REPLACED BCM TO REPAIR FRETTING ISSUE AND ONGOING PROBLEM. WHILE TEST DRIVING TO FAULT TODAY, LIGHTS CAME UP ON DASH - STARTING WITH TRACTION CONTROL AND MORE COMING ON. WHILE DRIVING HE PUT TRANI IN NEUTRAL AND ALL LIGHTS WENT OUT AND WAS FINE AGAIN. CANNOT SEE WHAT THE CORELLATION BETWEEN THE WARNING LIGHTS AND THE SHIFTER COULD BE? ANYONE COME ACROSS SOMETHING SIMILIAR?

There is a shift indicator switch at the base of the shifter, constant moving back and forth can cause wires to break, have them check it out

THE AIR BAGS TURN OFF AND ON BECAUSE IT GOES BY WEIGHT... AND IT ALSO GOES OFF WHEN YOU ARE GOING A LOWER SPEED AND WHEN YOU ARE GOING A HIGHER SPEED THEY WILL COME BACK ON.

SOURCE: saturn vue 2004 intermittent abs and traction control comes on and after restarting shuts off?

Has this happened after you replaced the sensors for the abs. if so they have to be set at a gap close to the rotor sensor to read correctly. The other thing maybe if the new sensors area slightly different to the original ones the abs might be having trouble identifying them.
The last one maybe, could the new brake pads be causing flexing or pushing against something resulting in this intermittent problem.

Hello: You could have a intermittent ignition lock cylinder. I would get the codes read Auto Zone, Advance Auto or O'Rielly can do that and they may not charge you.

It is part of the fuel pump module inside the fuel tank, all the cars are starting to use this type of setup, the filter is only serviced when the fuel pump fails.

2004 Saturn Vue V6. My odometer quit working and sometimes my fuel guage will quit working. If I shut the car off and restart it the fuel guage will work again. No luck with the odometer.

Sounds like the fuel pump may be going out. By the way the power steering is electric in Saturn, so it does not require the engine to be running.
