SOURCE: Black Smoke and Hessitation when Accelerating

Ther are 2 sending switches at the front of the engine pop them off and look in the ends of the 1 of them has one prong the other has 2 make sure they were returned to the correct unit as they will plug on to each other. I had this same issue it also will effect how the car runs as the 2 prong one goes to the ECM to adjust the fuel mixture when the engine is cold.

SOURCE: bmw air injection pump problem...HELP!

sounds like the secondary air pump has water contamination. If you unplug the connector for the air pump, and check it on cold start, did the noise go away? If the pump is bad, you need to replace the secondary air valve. Sounds like maybe it is contaminated and not seating fully.

Sounds like a fuel problem , have you changed the fuel filter in a while ? could be the knock sensor or the knock sensor module needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: 2003 BMW 325xi won't start, dashboard and radio go on.

My 2003 325xi died on the highway a few weeks ago, and I thought it was the battery. It turned out to be the alternator, which was an expensive problem to repair. If your battery is new, it could be the alternator, or a problem with the electrical system. I find the BMWs to be too complicated electrically, which often leads to problems! I'd check your alternator...

Screechind and knocking sound when it is started

check the harmonic balancer for failure first The sound is probably the pulley slipping on the bonded rubber to the crank hub.

Where is the stater on those cars, check it out and check all parts that move during the starting procedure like belts etc.If it goes away after starting,it might be in the starter or could be a dry fan belt making those squealing noise.

I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado and every time I turn on the ignition, the knocking noise begins from under the dash somewhere. If I remove the fuse to the a/c/heater it doesn't make a sound when I

Try starting the truck so it makes the noise.
Then switch the air control to "fresh".
If noise stops, it is probably the motor that closes flap to recycle the cab air.
It would be found under the dash, under the glove box, & would need to be replaced.

I have a 91 camaro rs with 305 it starts but it has a knock in the front of the engine and if it stays running it starts to screech every couple of revolutions any ideas as to what might be going on? It...

The screeching you speak of, does it sound like the belt slipping? Does this car have A/C? To me it sounds like the A/C compressor may be trying to lock up which in turn means that its low of charge. Try to pin point the knocking noise using a cut off broom handle. Hold one side to the A/C compressor, alternator, water pump, etc, and hold the other side up to your ear (careful not to get the handle hung up in any moving parts). When you locate the knocking noise you will be able to hear it clearly through the handle. If you're still not sure if you found it or not keep trying something else until you are sure you found the origination of the knocking. Let me know how it goes. Good Luck.

Knoking sound wile driveing it comes and goes

is it more from the front or back of the car ?? over bumps ?? while acelerating or braking ??

on the top of the front struts there's a rubber bushing called the "upper strut mount" this is a commonly replaced item. Also the sway bar bushings are frequently replaced. or, it could be something totally different..... gremlins ??

Body Sound..

What kind of noise? Humming? Screeching? Can you tell if it's coming from front? Left? Right? Does it get louder the faster it goes? Higher pitch?

Screeching noise when I turn on my air conditioner or heater

It may just need to be adjusted (it sounds like it's too loose). If the belt isn't cracked or frayed, you should just have it tightened up a bit . If there are signs it is worn (cracked frayed) replace it.
