SOURCE: 1998 Buick Century Air Conditioner not blowing out cold air

Under the dash behind the glove box(remove glove box)there is a vacuum connector with multiple vacuum lines of different colors, held in by a small nut on a long stud.Carefully remove the nut,and the vacuum connector, spray silicon spray into the vacuum lines, male and female ports.Replace the vacuum line connector back on.Also look for a vacuum line on passenger side of vehicle, near the firewall, and check the small check valve on the vacuum line and the vacuum line itself for sucking together, and breakage. If all this is o k,and the spray didn`t work, the control head for the temp control is not good

The temperature actuator has gone bad. You will need to replace and have it recalibrated. You could try and disconnect the battery for a few hours and see if it will reset it's self. But you will be in the same boat before too long. And will eventually need to replace it.

2003 Buick century ac issues.

There's only one evaporator core, so if you're getting cold on one side and not the other, then the blend door isn't working on the warm side. The actuator motor may be working but the door might not be moving.

My ac when on blows hot on passenger and cold on driver,we have already changed compressor, dryer, cabin filter, actuator, freon, and cleaned the lines

does this car have dual temp controls so the temp can be different then what the other side is set at.if so you could have a temp door motor for the passenger side that is not working and needs replacing.if the a/c blew cold on the drivers side then you have done alot of unnecessary work and expense as this should have told you the a/c system was working okay as far as what you have replaced.check to see if the air temp door(motor) is the problem for the passenger side.

98 buick century AC blows cold air on passenger side and hot air on drivers side..when we recharged the unit, it worked cold air for a few days and now blowing hot air again.

Hi. There seems to be a blockage within the system. I will list all parts to be checked by your mechanical. I would also have the blend door linkages or servos inspected for fail points along with the listed areas of concern, below:

Loose or broken drive belt
Inoperative compressor or slipping compressor clutch
Defective expansion valve
Clogged expansion valve, receiver-drier or liquid refrigerant line
Blown fuse
Leaking component: any of the parts listed above or one of the A/C lines, hoses or seals.

Instruct your mechanic to check all the above, along with the dash blend door linkages for faults.

Passenger side only blowing cold air.

You need to replace the "blend" door actuator motor on the pass side. I recommend getting that from your nearest gm dealer to ensure proper fit. When you adjust the air from cold to warm to hot, the blend door moves to direct the right amount of cold, or warm, or hot air your desire on that side of the vehicle
