SOURCE: 1997 dodge dakota signal/hazard problem

This vehicle has what is known as a flasher unit, it is a relay assembly under the dash. This is the relay that clicks when your signals are on. it may need to be replaced. Another possible trouble spot could be the wiring in the steering column. Are there any other issues with horn, cruise etc.
Check the flasher first and get back to me.

SOURCE: 1997 dodge dakota ingnition switch

you do not have to remove the steering wheel. there are 2 or 3 screws under he column then the shroud comes off then the switch is on the left side you will need to remove one small tamper proof torques screw(the star bit with the whole in the center) note there is more then one screw there but only one holds it to the column then pop the switch off, you have to pull and wiggle it to get it loose.

SOURCE: How do you change the water pump on a 1997 Dodge

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
* Negative battery cable
* Fan and clutch assembly from the pump
* Fan shroud and fan assembly.
* If you're reusing the fan clutch, keep it upright to avoid silicone fluid loss!
* Lower hose
* Water pump (8 bolts)
3. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the bolts, in sequence, to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm).

Is their a clutch kit for 89 Dodge Dakota 2.5 liter that has 10 in. clutch disk plate with 10 spline

Checking at RockAuto, it looks like the 2.5L Dakotas only used 10-spline clutches in 93 to early 95 models. All clutch discs shown are 9 1/4", but the clutch assemblies are 11 1/4". Someone may have put a newer transmission into your 89 with the 10 spline input shaft.

Cant get the clutch pressure plate bolts off of my 93 dodge dakota

Go down to the Auto Parts store and look at the replacement bolts (you will need to purchase them anyway).

Are they left-hand thread?

(You might just be tightening them instead of loosening them!)

My clutch pedal has no pressure??

I hate to say this some clutch plates you can not tell the difference from the flywheel side so it will go on backwards ,sounds crazy,but I have seen people put them on backwards all the time and that is what it sounds like considering you have done enough for it to work,FLYWHEEL SIDE XXXXXX

Clutch replacement 2wd 3.9 v6 2000 dodge dakota

If the clutch was worn out, the transmission would not go into reverse or low gear with the engine running.
This clutch is activated by hydraulic pressure like your brakes. The hydraulic part may not be working correctly.
To replace the clutch you have to remove the transmission.

Then remove the pressure plate,as I assume you know

Then the flywheel,have it machined & balanced &
put it all back with new clutch disc,pressure plate
& throw out brg.

A/C not working, only ambient temp air when turned on, not cool or cold at all

First check to see if you have enough coolant. If you are sure of this, The clutch to the air conditioner may not be kicking in when it should. This may be caused by the air gap being too large.

Carefully take the clutch off of the front of the AC unit being careful not to drop the 3-4 bolts. Behind it you will see a spring clip with spacers. By removing one of the spacers, it makes the gap between the clutch plate narrower so that the electromagnet can engage the clutch. This worked on my 1997 Dakota. Air would kick on and last for 15 minutes before it would smell musty. I would wait for another half hour then turn on again. The clutch was disengaging. May or not work for yours.
