Got up this AM and it wouldn't start - no clicking sound - NOTHING. Checked battery terminal - it looked good but, went ahead and cleaned it up - Dashlights and headlights work; checked fuses under dash and all were good. Approx. 6 months it did this while @ the gym working out and managed to "jump start" it by 'popping the clutch'. My boyfriend checked to make sure it wasn't the clutch "button" (have to make sure clutch is all the way in in order to start the truck). Any idea what's wrong? Signed, Damsel in Distress in SC
Possibly a bad connection on the positive side coming from the battery or a weak ground. Check where the leads join the terminal clamps. Has the battery been verified as good? It doesn't take a lot of amps to run lights but it does to turn over the engine. Jump starting it does not require a fully charged battery.

check the starter, starter motor and the starter are one unit. just under nearth the battery. make sure the red battery wire is tight. and the black ground is tight to the chassis.
if you don't hear any clicking sound, the starter is bad, need replacement.
if you hear clicking sound then look for the starter module. mounted on the side of the distributor.
these are two most problem area.
if it still don't start, go to zcar.com or 300xcar.com
they should able to give you most place to look.

Reading voltage on a battery dosen't mean much, it's the amperage that counts. Hook up jumper cable to your battery, now quickly touch th other ends together. You should get a snap and large spark. If this dosen't happen, you battery or connection are bad.
