Could be the power steering pump itself. If it has a bad bearing it will do that. Especially when you turn it makes the steering pump work a lot harder.

SOURCE: Honda Accord 2003 - Engine and steering vibration

You might to have a tire shop check the wheel for roundness, not balance. A tire can be balanced and be out of round, causing the shaking you describe. On front wheel drive cars, the wheel/hub assembly may be bad, which a good tire shop can tell you if it is. Can't say if it will be expensive, the hub is relatively inexpensive. Labor will probably be the deal-breaker.

SOURCE: power steering fluid leek on 89 honda accord

Should not be too hard. I have not done one on an 1986 model but I have on a 1983. The principle will be the same.

  • You need to drain the fluid.
  • Disconnect all the pump hoses.
  • Release the pump pivot and adjustment bolts and remove the pump from the vehicle.
Replacement is the reversal of the removal operation.
  • Tighten all the bolts.
  • Adjust the drive belt tension.
  • Fill and bleed the system.
Following the above procedure should get the job done. Take your time doing the job and double check your work at the end of the job. Check for any fluid leeks from the system.

SOURCE: squeeky belt and front wheel vibration after having belts replaced

I would guess your two issues are separate. The squealing belt could be an adjustment problem or a wet or damaged belt. Belts can vary, how long they last. I have replaced them the next year on some cars and others could 3 or 4 years. The tire vibration could be related to the tire tread or some type of tire defect(a bubble in the side wall), may be an alignment problem. Check the steering components, tie-rods, ball joints, and wheel bearings.

If it is still under warranty they should have put a new transmission in and your first problem sounds like a steering problem, not sure if you have electric power steering or pumped power steering but those should be the first things looked at and then the wheel linkage.

How to change rear brake pads for a honda 2007 ridgeline

The 2007 Honda Accord is equipped with four wheel disk brakes. Disk brakes wear down and require regular maintenance. Worn brake pads can cause squeeling and grinding noises, as well as reduced braking power. Improperly maintained brake pads can cause damage to the brake rotors as well as brake failure. Save on labor costs by replacing your own brake pads.www.lightdeal.co.uk

Hi:

Most likely your alternator belt is a little loose. My daughter's car did that right after I changed the belt, The new belt stretched a bit, and a couple weeks later, it was sqealing. I tightened the tensioner up a bit, and it stopped. I has now been quiet for months!

When the car starts moving there is a loud squeeling noise out of the front driver side of the car then when we stop moving the noise stops

Could be a loose or worn serpentine belt check to make sure it is in good shape. also take a look under the hood and make sure all the pulleys are moving freely when the engine is running.

Engine noise on area of pulleys and sometimes engine tries to sto

Don't know if this helps. Had squeel in belt area. Occasionally engine would stop when squeel got loud and sometimes engine would try to quit while going at various speeds. Found tensioner pulley was bad and changed it. Still squeeled and engine would stop when squeel got loud. This time while sitting in yard. Further checking found binding in power steering pump. Will be putting on new one tomorrow. Hope it works. Will update.
