Horn doesn't work on 2004 jeep wrangler sport

Horn stopped working on my 2004 jeep wrangler. Relay is working under hood and clicking when pressing horn button. I have 12.56 volts at the plug going into horn. I have tested horn by directly hooking to the battery and it works. WTF??? Help! Can a relay "work" and still be bad?

Hi, sure a relay can be make it half working. It will click but wont be able to let the current go thru. Horn can be activated by a negative or positive pulse.

Check the horn ground. By pass the relay and feed the horn at the relay terminal. Could be a bad wire from the relay to the horn.

I think I have found the problem. When I wiggle the ignition switch the turn signals and radio go on and off so I feel the issue is in the ignition switch. From what I understand the actual electronics for the switch are at the base of the sterring column behind the lower dash panel and is connected by a rod that may need adjusting.

SOURCE: Horn wont work

If you are facing the front of the jeep. It is on your left, on the fender well. Yes, you do have a fuse under the dash. The fuse panel should be marked on what fuse is it.

Horn on 1997 jeep wrangler has stopped working

my horn problem seems related to a bad horn connection, and a bad clockspring, (shorting out and energizing horn relay, causing battery to drain dead over weeks).

Horn does not work

Guessing it's an SE. If 20A fuse 20 in the power distribution center is OK, pressing the horn switch closes the horn relay and the horn(s) should blow. If not, the horn(s), horn relay or horn switch could be defective. There's not much else that go go wrong

2003 cherokee laredo horn blew out of no where wont stop

Its the horn button and/or a broken wire completing the circuit, and bypassing the switch. You will find both under the center cover in the steering wheel. If an air bag is also there, disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes BEFORE removing the cover. Also, do not disconnect the battery with out first installing a "memory keeper" low voltage power source in the cigarette lighter socket.
If you don't the radio and the whole car will lock you out and do nothing. Thank the theft system for that!!

It could also be the relay for the horns. Usually in one of the under hood power distribution boxes. Swap the relay for another identical relay and see if the horn stops blowing by itself.

Horn doesn't work

Check the horn relay, it's in the power distribution center. That is the black box under the hood next to the battery. The diagram on the inside of the lid specifies which is the horn relay.

I just bought a 1993 jeep wrangler 4wd. The only thing is the horn isn't working. How can I fix this?

First check that the fuse for the horn is good and if it is you will need to replace the horn relay that is found in the under hood high amp fuse box.

Horn is not working, not getting any voltage to the steering column.....horn itself is good, used jumper to test it

sounds like your clockspring or a fuse test for power going into the clockspring please rate -jeff
