Found coolant system resevoir full of oil and water but no water in engine block. Had no warning lights, no high temp, no oil pressure drop. Also noticed no loss in performance or smoke to indicate a head gasket problem.

There's either a big loss of coolant from somewhere such as a hose or cylinder head.
It could also be a faulty cylinder head gasket/cylinder head.
Does the car overheat? Overheating is a symptom of head problems as is loss of power.
Check the coolant level - has it dropped?
Start the engine and see if any air bubbles appear in the coolant. If so, it probably is caused by exhaust gas leaking through the head/head gasket into the cooling system.
Check your engine oil dipstick. If the oil is a greyish/creamy colour that indicates coolant has found its way into the oil system. Cylinder head problem ..
Get somebody to check your car for you. Don't drive it if there's suspected head problems - you'll cause more damage
Your description sounds very much like a blown head gasket or a cracked head/block. This allows coolant to leaking into the oil sump, causing the overfull indication. Check the oil fill cap. If the underside of it has a "chocolate milk" like residue on it, this is the result of oil and water mixing. If this is the case, STOP USING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. The water in the oil will cause excessive wear on the engine and destroy it in short order. The engine will need to be torn down, flushed, and the cause of the leak found. Only then can it be reassembled and put back into use.
It could be a crack or head gasket, when the engine is cold the steel is contracted and there is little water pressure, when you start the engine the oil pressure comes up quick and stays above the coolant pressure, I believe the radiator cap is set at 19-23lbs before it pushes past it. When the block heats up the steel expands and opens the crack or pushes by the head gasket.
Hmm try changing the oil, flush and fill the radiator.Then see if the contaminant comes back into the resevoir. If you have a cracked, block/head or a blown head gasket the envoy would have white or blue exhaust coming out and would be overheating since oil retains heat. Some other tell tale signs are little steam will come out of your oil filler when u open it.Your oil looks like chocolate milk instead of regular oil when u check it. Try a compression or a leak-down test to find out if your head gasket is blown. Pull the spark plugs see how they look.

check the tranny fluid. if it's dark brown it and the filter should be changed. they can do this at most oil change places. but it could be as simple as some loose sensor wires. hope this helps.
don't forget to add 50% water and coolant to your resevoir tank of your coolant when it's low.
Sounds like blown head gasket (or worse) still to me.
Remove oil filler cap and look for grey oil.
Never use water these days but special coolant. Water makes vapour spots and cause block cracks, worse then blown gaskets!!!
vapour does not cool very well.
Look like you have cracks already.
Take a compression test if possible. But might not show op at that temperature.
The gauge indication troubles me.
