SOURCE: 1995 ford windstar overheat after replacing the thermostat

Let your engine warm up with the rad. cap off and see if the coolant level drops. and make sure your overflow is full. It blows cold air because there is no water getting to the heater core. And it shows a normal(ish) temp because the water needs to be touching the temp. sensor. I really do think there is air in the system and there is not enough coolant but hard to tell from here. Also as with overheating any time make sure to check your oil and look for any coolant as the head gasket seldomly holds together if the motor overheats.

I had the same problem and it was the water pump, loosen the belt and check the pump for excessive play.

SOURCE: Problem with cold starting Ford 7.3L Diesel at > freezing temps

most likely the relay. its located to the left of the fuel filter( looking at the motor from the front). my experience is that they only last about 50,000 miles. the part costs about $20 at an navistar dealer. remove the cowl over the filter, disconnect the batteries(so you don't short the new relay out if you cross the polarity with a wrench) ,remove the four wires from the ceramic relay, un-fasten the relay from the base. reverse the process with the new relay. CAUTION; do not over-tighten the nuts on the wire studs, you could crack the ceramic relay.(iv'e done it) . hope this helps

SOURCE: Antifreeze Leak

First check all hoses and connections if these are leaking there should be a tell tale mark a bit like salt deposits. Also check round the engine as there could be a corroded core plug. Also, inspect the rad for possible leaks. another possibility is the water pump seal gone

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Windstar is leaking antifreeze

Could be water pump, radiator, freeze plugs, hoses, ect. try and isolate the area by putting a piece of card board down on the ground and line up what is above it. Garages use a pressure tester on the cooling system to see where the leak is. I would guess water pump,or small bypass hose

Quite possible that you may have a cracked cylinder head or engine block. Just going to have to investigate further and hope its something a little less catastrophic, Like something on the heater system running down

My antifreeze is leaking out of my radiator .....HELP : (

adding antifreeze on its own can be bad for your motor.. it needs to be added with water.. does it leak from your radiator cap/ overflow hose or from the radiator core.. ckeck you thermostat as well. it stays closed when the water is cold and opens when it gets hot.. it sounds like it could be stuck shut..

If you are sure the water isn't leaking somewhere - run the car stationary and look for spots on the floor - then is lost thru evaporation. Look at the caps of the radiator and the state of the expansion bowl.

Cycle 2 or 3 times and the windstar started.

could be the fuel pump or it may be as little as the fuel filter.

2003 windstar 3.8 liter V6 Must crank 2 or 3 times before engine start when hot or cold. Dealer was talking about possible electronic choke defective. Where is the location of this part

There is no electronic choke on this vehicle. this engine control adds more fuel on cold starts for through injectors pulse width to quicker starting. you may have a camsynchronizer and sensor going bye bye. looks like a little distriburor on top of waterpump. must have special tools to synchronize so don't pull out. also your fuel pump may be getting weak. you can try cycling key a few time to build fuel pressure before starts, replace fuel filter also and make sure air filter is ok.

Leaking antifreeze on the right side new water pump and hose to on over a month ago

you changed the water water pump because it probably overheated. you might have a broken head gasket and combustion pressure is entering the cooling system
