Engine started idled for a min and then chugged out turned key again and started a few seconds. changed fuel filter. now car wont turn on at all. it tries to turn but just wont take that final push to start
SOURCE: Car wont start, think its the fuel pump.
Once youve exhausted the possibilities of fuel delivery, make sure to have a look at the coil module which is notorious for this. They sometimes can get hot and quit sparking. Spark plug wires are of major impotance on this model because that module can easily be spiked by a high kv pulse from spark that has no where to go but striaght through it to ground.I would probably not be thinking too much about any charcoal canister creating vapor lock.I would also probably refrain from the fuel quantity test recomended.

you might have a bad key.The security system uses the key chip to keep the fuel pump running.

HI, i recommend checking the battery cables and battery posts as well. make sure the cables are screwed tight on the post and there is no visible corrosion on the battery terminals as well.
When checking the cables, make sure the negative cable is tightly secured and screwed down tight. maker sure the positive cable is in god position as well.
There is a wire on the starter that can become loose over time so, slide under this car and check the starter wires as well for tight and secure fit also.
If the battery terminals are free of corrosion and the cables are secured and screwed to there respective connections tightly, i will then recommend you move your inspection to the ignition switch inside the car.
Most likely, this will be the problem spot if everything above checks out ok.
At this point, i suggest replacing the entire ignition switch at this point.
Please rate and god bless:)

multiple factors at play.check for spark ,pull a spark plug out and connect the spark plug wire back on the spark plug and place the plug on any ground just sitting over any metal part of engine ,try to place it somewhere visible from inside the car. crank engine and look for spark at the plug,(make sure nobody is touching it when you crank motor)ifyou have spark then is your fuel supply(fuel pump).make sure all fuses and relays are ok b-4 you take any further action.
