My Backup (revers) lights dont light up.Fuses & lights not burt.

My Backup (revers) lights dont turn on when i engage. I cheched my Fuses & lights there are not burt/ Also my heating seats dont work any more. 1998 STS.

Wow Thanks alot, It was the Neutral switch. And plus now i dont have to press on the brakes to engage into drive. As for the seats i will attack them tomorrow

As far as your back up lights....check the neutral safety switch. This was a BIG problem on the 98-99 Cadillacs.

On the heated seats....you'll have to check for voltage at the harness where it connects to the seat(s) if you can do this.

Hi my Nissan np300 got no tail lights dash lights and parking lights.Cheched fuses install new bulbs in the tail lights cheched wiring for brackage all seems good.
Did you change the radio out? Often people change the radio, cut the oem harness and fail to cover the dimmer lead which then can short to ground and kill the entire parking light circuit (which runs the listed lights)

I have a 2002 ford explore , the revese lights will not go on when in revese gear ??? have changed neutral saftey switch,cheched bulbs wiring,sockets.
When a driver engages the reverse gear he or she automatically switches the reverse light on by triggering the switch on and if the lights are not coming on it means that a number of reasons are to blame. I will start with fuses and the wiring around the switch. Thank you for using fixya!

My BACKUP LIGHTS dont work and I have checked bulbs and fuses
if you checked the bulbs and fuses then it's either a bad ground wire (located in the rear of the vehicle somewhere near the tail light wiring harness) or a bad backup light switch, located on the side of your transmission or possibly the gear shift itself, neither one of these should be too hard to fix

Tail lights dont work
Chech the fuses in the fuse box, the one labelled "park lights" might be the culprit. Replace it regardless, sometimes the contact points "rust" on older fuses.

Caravan turn signals dont work at all
Under the hood there are realys and more fuses. There might be a reset button. If not look at ALL the fuses. you might have arced something while replacing the battery. Good luck

Headlight dont work
first start by check there is power gos to the front head light is yes change the bulb if not there is a conecter located close to the battery chech this also if everything is ok check the fuses under hood and in dash fuse box if everything is good change the light switch (turn signl switch )
