Has a loud valve tic and gets more rapid with higher rpms it may be the timing belt area but pretty sure it the valve cover there is also a small oil leak on the valve cover could these problems corispond or what, how do i fix both?
SOURCE: Daewoo Leganza 2000 timing belt broke
Hi.
If the idler pulley, broke, with the car running, (I think is the most probable), There is no way to fix the car just replacing the timing belt and the idler pulley. This is an interference engine, that means if the timing belt or the idler pulley breaks, you need to replace the whole cylinder head, that's because the valves are bent. I just fix my daewoo, I tried first to just change the idler pulley and set up the time, but it did not work. I had to replace the whole head cylinder, timing belt and pulleys.
I got the information to set up the timing belt from a Library, The program is Mitchell on demand.
Thanks
SOURCE: why is there PLENTY of oil around the spark plug
this is caused by a seeping/leaking valve cover asket.

Replace the valve cover gasket. On mine, the valve cover was warped and I had to get a replacement from the salvage yard to stop the leak
SOURCE: ON MY 1999 DAEWOO NUBIRA
possibly oil pressure switch which has one wire going to it near oil filter or split oil pump gasket or crank seal, might have to remove timming belt cover and crank while cover is off to locate leak

thank you i am just waiting for a good day off from work to do it..... also i was late one day and was tryin to see how the car performed and i got around 80 and the rpms were about 5000 the red line is 7000. there is no way this car will touch 100mph with out red lining unless its still in third gear at this point and shifts into fourth at like 6500 rpm. does it even have a 5th and if not why would it do that?(i just bought it for $1000 with 114k, SE, AUTO,)
