Wont start w/o holding down gas pedal
Have you tried cycling the key a few(3-5) times, before cranking(and trying to start it?
What i mean is turn your key on, then off, and on, then off(3-5 times), and then turn the key back on, and try to crank/start the vehicle, See what that does!
If that works then you have a fuel leak somewhere.
if that DOES'NT work, fuel is leaking into your engine while it sits
(more than likely bad fuel injectors!)

I would take it to autozone to have the code read. It could be your idle control sensor, or it could even be O2 sensors. Hard to say without knowing the code.

fuel, oxygen, and spark. Check all of these. Is it getting air. Is your filter clean. Are you getting spark. if not check your plugs wires and coil. finaly check your fuel. Are you getting enough fuel. Replace the filter, make sure you are getting enough psi's before the injectors. also make sure the fuel pump is working.
You will probably need to put your car on a computer scanner.
Let me know what you find.

Run it in to an autozone, or Pep boys for a free code scan which should help point you /us in right direction. Make sure you write it/them down & get back to us.

I would think it would be a grounding problem.Check your main ground up at the battery where it connects to the frame.
