Toyota Tacoma 1998 was running fine untill i lifted the truck to a 6in fabtech lift kit, now its making a rumble noise on the driver side after at10mph and then it gets louder and louder. Not sure if its the wheel bearing because the wheel does not wiggle and when i break the car goes left. What could it be please help?

Without looking at it, you may have one or more of the following:

Rust on the inside edge of the rotor (most common)

Worn front brake pads

Front wheel bearing problem.

Backing plate (behind rotor) rubbing the rotor

These are the most common causes, you can see 1,2 & 4 with the wheel off.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I HAVE A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY. I HEAR A ROARING NOISE

sounds to me like its a cv joint. if the rubber boot gets damaged in any way, dirt gets in there and really does some damage. check the boot really good. if you dont see any holes or anything it might just be the wheel bearing. id take it to a mechanic and ask him to just look at it. usually they wont charge ya.

SOURCE: 1991 toyota camry front drivers side makes noise while driving

It's the left front wheel bearing. Take it to your favorite mechanic if you have one, any good tech can do it, but he/she could run into complications with a car of that age. (The hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the knee bone, etc, and there's probably a good share of corrosion down there).

Wheel bearing

If grinding noise is heard coming from front side, lift up both the front wheels and rotate the wheels one by one to listen to the sound, if any. If a noise is heard, replace the front wheel bearings as a set.
If the front wheels do not produce any abnormal noise when rotated, lift down the front vehicle. Lock the front wheels with blocks, release the hand brake. lift up the rear wheels and try to listen to the abnormal noise. If the noise is heard, replace the differential bearings and seals. Top up the differential oil to the mark.

Location of the fuel filter on 2000 toyota tacoma 2 wd std cab

Oil filter on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner with 6 cylinder IS a screw on filter located on the drivers side front of the engine (just beneath the alternator).

Can't recall the size but, you need a socket with extension to get to the bolts holding the skid pan then, wiggle/lift it from it's hooks. Then, you can either cuss, cuss, cuss while removing the old and installing the new OR, jack the drivers side up 4 to 6 inches ( gives you a bit more wiggle room and keeps you from scraping your elbow to the bone on whatever surface you're working on).

Even then, be ready for a good cussing bout because there still isn't much room.

Toyota blinker makes noise when the blinkers aren't on.

You need to replace flasher unit. This regulates the flashing speed. Check under the drivers side dash (it may hang amongst wires or in a fuse box) or under bonnet where all the large fuses are (these will be in a covered box). Sounds like under dash because of noise. Google search flasher units to see what the look like.

2001 Tacoma 2-wheel dr, 5 lug wheels; I want to lift 2-3 inchs...no lift kits seem to be available. Dave

It would be best to only do a body lift kit if driving on the road.Suspension lift kits lead to a lot of tire wear problems and the truck will never drive right again.
