Can i fix my radius rod bushes myself - Festiva Ford Cars & Trucks

Hi from uk assume the festiva is same as uk fiesta? if you mean the rear suspension radius arms ? are the bushes you wish to renew? then you can diy but would suggest you pay attention to any heavy corrosion? b4 you start as some of these do break up at where bush fits these bushes are a tight/press fit but removal of old bush? could be problem due to seizure? so rather than trying to hammer/knock out old bush i would advise you hack saw cut into the outer tube of bush first then you can collapse tube inwards using s/driver etc the bush comes out ok thorouly clean area of bush ie emery cloth ? you can use a little lube to assist when you tap new bush in use a suitable large vice if you have use of? and press bush in with jaws ? ps when i do these i clean arm up then paint em with quick dry hammerite red itwill sound like bulls--- but not only look better but prevent corrosion and looks good ??as if new?? hope this helps and inspires you best wishes from the uk !

You will need to get under car w/enough room to move comfortably. and you'll need someone to work a pry bar while your sliding bush. on/off.
