Hi, Replaced battery. Radio and cd no longer work. Bought car second hand. Followed instructions in manual, but can't get a code from the radio. Any ideas how I can restore without taking to the dealer for two hours worth of labor(they tell me) to take out radio, get serial #. call in to mfr and reset?
Turn off the car and remove the negative battery cable off. let sit a few minutes then reconnect the cable. try it several times. The removal of the battery causes the computer to deprogram itself. what you will be doing is re-programming the computer module.

If it is like most Saturns if you had the radio or any eletrical equipment on when you changed the battery it blows the fuse. It will also blow the fuse to your turn signals or wipers if they are on.

The radio on my 2004 Saturn Vue does not work, but the clock does. I've tryed the directions on my owners manual with no luck. I have tryed disconnecting the battery, check fuses still no luck.
radio not working - clock is not running - display reads "1:00" - fuses (2) are OK - all other electrical functions in the vehicle seem fine
