I have an Infiniti G20 and when I turn left in an intersection, 1/4 of the way, I get a klunking sound on the drivers side front around the wheel. What are my possibilities of repair? and secondly, does the rpm odometer have any significance as it is not working 90% of the time.

Sounds like ball joint or steering linkage problem..ever have accident or slam curb hard ?...does she steer true or is it loose?...if all else seems to feel ok and you dont feel the clunk and have your steering actually move when it clunks.... your axle (cv joint) is failing

Wheel bearing? If you turn left and it gets louder. It is the right wheel bearing. And vice versa.

Driver's side wheel bearings, greased

That depends on what type of vehicle you drive. If the noise is on turns it’s more than likely a bad ball joint or toe rod end

Loud bang coming from front end when i turn the steering

If it happens when you turn while driving, it could be a broken sway bar link. Try to hear if it's coming from the pass. or driver side and check underneath next to the wheel (or just check both). Can be hard to spot sometimes but usually is hanging by one end with hardware missing. Cheap to replace, quick to fix.

Whining noise is probably in one of the pulleys or belts. Probably the power steering. And the popping is probably CV axles.

There is a noise coming from the right-front wheel area during a left turn. It almost sounds like a tire-rub on the inner wheel-well cover, but it also makes this same noise when stationary while turning...

I had this same problem and the dealer could not reproduce the noise when I would take it in to get looked at. (during the day when the temperature was warm) So I decided to leave it over night and they test drove it in the morning when the temperature was cold and they heard the noise. It ended up bing the steering rack.

Roaring sound coming from front end as Mazda gains speed. Turning steering wheel changes the frquency of the noise.

You have a front wheel bearing that is making noise. Usually the one that is the problem is louder when turning in the opposite direction. If you turn right and noise gets loud then its your left bearing and if you turn left and the noise gets loud then its your right bearing. Understand that thats just a rule of thumb and that either bearing can make noise in either direction. Good luck!
