Once the engine is fully up to temperature it runs great, anywhere from cold to just under op temp, it has a very bad habit of stalling out but will recrank shortly after, a few seconds up to 30 seconds. Is very frustrating. Already changed out the pcm as was suggested elsewhere, did not help. Also has new fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, vacuum is good.

The crankshaft position sensor was seriously problematic in those old jeeps. It's located towards the top of the bell housing slightly to the driver's side I think.

Try cleaning the idle air controle. Mine was shutting off everytime it warms up and woldnt stay on durintg idling. The engine will reset after some miles of driving like that and correct but once the battery cable is unhooked it resets back to normal and will give you the same problems. Cleaning the IAC will correct......
