Hi,
Firstly what is the problem as to why you need to disconnect the anti-theft system? Also you can't just disconnect the Anti-theft as it is incorporated within the starting and ignition system.The only way it can be bypassed is through a Ford Dealer who will have the equipment and coding to disable it.

Check battery cables and clean them also if you did disconnect them and didn't use your key fob to stop the horn /alarm when you reconnected them your in theft mode

Have U tried disconnecting the alarm box and reconnect see if it will reset and check make sure all alarm switches doors trunk hood in working order otherwise re programming maybe in need try YouTube.com type in the same request. Good Luck

YES!... with various system operating difference. Disconnecting the alarm does not disable it.. it only silences the alarm. You will still need the Keyless Entry System Remote to RESET the alarm to start the vehicle.

Hello i have 2000 ford expdition with srv engine light
i do agree with wrighton but you need to find out why the light is on so take to auto zone and they will put it on the tested for free cause i had that problem once on a 2000 ford expdition and it was the boot on the number 1 cylinder and it happen after i had done the tuneup.
