Changed spark plugs and set gap to .040 and now the engine wont turn over???? HELP

First, remove the wires from the top of each spark plug, Then turn each plug counterclockwise until they are completely unscrewed. Then screw in new ones in place of the old ones, then torque them, one at a time, to the specification indicated by the manufacturer, then put each plug wire back on, in their original positions. Then you are finished!
