How do i reset a 99 explorer factory alarm

you need the remote control to do it if you disconnected the battery and then reconnected it when the alarm goes off you have to press the disarm button otherwise the alarm goes into theft mode and will not start buy the remote control if you need it now and you can program it into the system once in and the pats system has it stored you will then be able to start your car again good luck

Disarm car alarm without remote merc

I do know that if you put the key in the ignition after you open the door and cycle the key from off to on 3 times fast within 5 seconds the alarm will disarm. Whether or not it is for good is unknown since you have to lock your doors again at some point. Your remote is discontinued by Subaru, but the the newer remote for the 2005 to 2007 models will work on your car, unless you already have one. I hope this info helps!

Disarm alarm

Get in the car, shut the door, and insert key in ignition.

Turn the key to the RUN position (NOT start, but the position the key is in when the car is running. You DON'T want to start the car).
Turn key off.
Repeat this 10 times quickly (ON, OFF, ON, OFF, etc)

Many alarm systems this is at least one way to reset or over-ride the alarm.

Flashing lights on security system for 1993 ford escort wagon

usualy there is a switch on the driver and passener side, try disarming by unlocking drivers door with the key to disarm the factory alarm, or the passenger door. this should turn off the alarm if it is not aftermarket. the factory alarm will arm any time the door is locked by key or power door lock. good luck

Is there an alternate way to disarm my explorer?

Well I believe you are asking other ways to disable the alarm.
Your alarm should reset after 1-2 minutes.
If this is an aftermarkert alarm you will have a fuse that you can pull to disable the alarm either under the hood or under the dash. Some will have a toggle under the dash.
If this is a factory alarm look in the owners manual or check with your local dealer service department for which fuse to pull.
Usually all you have to do is to take the key and lock and unlock the door.
Hope this answer is to your needs.

I need to know how to disable the alarm system, it goes off every time i open the door.

Take the dash and glove box off. Under where the glove box is there are two boxes, unplug the one farthest to the left. This completley disables the security alarm.

How to set factory alarm without remote, togle switch enabled

factory alarms are passive, if it is working it sets itself when u exit the car. u don't need the remote for the alarm to work if it has a factory system. if u want to test if it is working lock the car with the power lock button and leave the window down, reach inside the car and open the door from the inside handle, the alarm will sound if it is working, to disarm just lock and unlock driver door with the key..

Disarming the alarm

Try this,I think this will work.Unplug the Remote anti-theft module in the right hand kick panel. It will have 2 connectors, one is 22 cavity connector and the other is 26 cavity connector.
Now best I can tell by looking at the Schematics you will have you take the wires from pin 11 PK/LG and pin 22 PK/YE in the 22 pin connector and pin 1 LG in the 26 pin connector and run these to a ground. Then leave the RAP module disconnected. This should keep your electric door locks working and disable the alarm.
