V6 2003 Accord. There is a random clicking sound when tapping the brakes and the check engine light flashes, the RPMs drop, then regain. This happens randomly when parked and driving, sometimes stalling out altogether, one time on a off ramp when getting off the highway. The AC is not running, headlights lights are not on, radio may or may not be on. Otherwise the car runs great. It only happens when initially tapping the brakes. Appreciate any feedback.
Engine light flashing along with the drop on RPMs is indicative of misfires. Connect a scan tool and see if any codes are stored this may give you a starting point. As for the clicking I'm not sure that it is related to the engine light but clicking when braking may be due to worn suspension/steering parts such as control arm bushings
Thanks Hector, the clicking is a single click at the same time the check engine light flashes. Its as if the brakes initiation of the brakes being pressed is triggering some sort of short circuit.
You got to get a starting point start with the scanner and check for codes also note the freeze frame, pending/history codes if any and go from there.
