Front Brakes are wearing fast but still good . I need to know how to adjust rear brakes to stop so much wear on front pads
Do not attempt any adjustments. replace the front brakes when they need it. if you try to adjust the proportioning valve you will lock up your back brakes and risk loosing control of your vehicle. you risk ruining the ABS system in your car which will cost you far far more to replace than a cheap set of brake pads. the front brakes do most of the stoping, that is why they wear out much faster than the back brakes. it is VERY IMPORTANT that you DO NOT attempt to adjust your brake proportioning valve.

So long as the brake booster is working, test it by turning on the engine, press the brake pedal all the way down, then shut off engine keeping your foot on the brake pedal, if the pedal comes up slightly pushing against your foot then the booster IS working.
Did you BLEED the brakes??????

Sounds like the cable is stuck also check the catch on the foot pedel
SOURCE: ok i have one brake pad that is wearing down twice
It's probably a bad brake hose. It may be clogged and won't allow the caliper to retract after you let off the brake. I would recommend replacing both of them at the same time.

The rear brakes normally only account for about 25% of your braking power. Due to engine weight being over the front wheels, and the way that the front settles down when braking, it's proportioned that way to get the best braking performance, especially in a pickup. Unless you change the proportioning valve, the amount of braking that the rear wheels do will not change. As for the brake dust, some types of pads do that more than others, and with disk brakes, this is normal.
