I would make the repair if the need is urgent enough to warrant the 650 but i would most definitely try to get a better quote on labor. This is a one man job that takes me about an hour and a half to do once im all set up. If you can find a local "wrench" in the classifieds, or even try a quote from a towing company as they carry their own mechanics. I would charge about 230 in labor and pull the fuel rails and regulator off another car to save you money for a total around 425 dollars. Still, if you prefer your mechanic and you want new parts, a premium is to be paid. You also could sell the car at 1900 as is and still profit as well. Best of luck, Tony.

yes the fuel pump is inside the tank and checkout the fuel pump relay and the fuse for the sending unit first and try these websites to get more information on your car its www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com and if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car also try so STP gas treatment in the gas tank if the car run better replace the fuel filter and i wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. You have to lower the gas tank, unlock the ring that holds it in, unhook the wires and fuel lines, and then you can lift it out.
