CORRECT mILLAGE AROUND 89500. NOW READ 684785 AND DOES NOT WORK
The problem is your Body Control Module, located on top the glove box.It will need replaced & programmed to fix.Costs about $300.00 It also has to be new due to mileage being stored inside.Hope this helps
I am assuming you must have fixed this by now, but since there is no fix listed you need a BCM. The loss of power during the battery test may have been enough to freak out the module and cause the odometer issue. The problem now is you have driven who knows how far and dont have an accurate mileage for the car so the BCM will need to be replaced and the odometer set to 0 miles with an odometer statement sticker in the door saying the mileage is not correct.
Saturn dealer might help you, if you can't read about it in the books in auto trouble shooting for the problem on vehicle the library has books you can take out, if you need help. Some things are best left to the pros, they most likely have seen it before, if they won't help, read read read there is help out there only you want to work on it yourself to save money then the books in the library will be the least possible expense for you

I have the same problem! I have a 2000 Saturn LV V6 and I should have 125, 000 approx and I went to Auto Zone to test my battery and after that the milage says 694,894. I moved back to PA from SC snf cannot get my car inspected with the incorrect milage. The trip always says 0.0 it never changes and it doesn't acrue any more miles.
I think he crossed the cables when he was checking the battery and something wen't bunk.
Anyone have a suggestion?
thanks
