I have to fill my car with water after every trip I think it doesnt pump the water around.
What do I need to change?
Thanks
Probably not. the water pump circulates because if not, then you will over heat.
you could have a water leak. look for some signs in the garage for water drippings.
fill the radiator with water, start the car but do not use your airconditioning if you have one because there would be water dripping from the airconditioning unit.
then watch under the car for some water drippin down. that could be your water leak.
it could be coming from an old radiator hose, or a broken water pump seal, or a loose water hose clamp.
tnx 4 using fixya,

When it does not pump the water at all the engine brakes after few miles.
Check if there is any leak in the water lines, or in the radiator.
If there is no leak, that means that the water is being vapourized inside the engine because of a defective head gasket.
When this happens you often can also get white smoke coming back from the exhaust.
You probably need to replace the head gasket.
