Wont Crank I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee 6 Cylinder. Every since Saturday the truck has been having problems? it wont crank. Friday night I drove the car parked it Saturday night came and tried to crank it but it wouldn?t start Sunday we got up and thought it needed a jump still nothing. A mechanic came looked at it and changed some round looking disk in the starter and the router belt still nothing (after checking fuses and other things) Monday he put in a new distributor cap and still nothing. Later Monday night we got home and just out of curiosity tried to crank the car and it started right up. Tuesday drove it to school and after school it again wouldn?t start back up. Please Help Me?.

It's probably one of these:

1.NSS- (Neutral Safety Switch)
2.CPS- (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

**Look here-
CPS 1/2 way down..

You have a bad ignition switch . Your ignition switch is not holding in run position. Test ignition switch

95 jeep cherokee country 6 cyl auto. wont crank all the time

Bad solenoid i would guess. Not making a connection there. Any basic wiring and ignition switch problems should be alleviated by jumping the starter with a screwdriver. I would check the solenoid and starter brushes

95 jeep cherokee seemed to run fine but left overnight it wont

You changed the ignition coil from distributor right?
secondly make sure distributor is not internally shattered (which is a common problem). Normally the current comes from Crank sensor or cam shaft sensor !
