Dodge caravan 2006 problem

The van was running and I was waiting for my wife in the parking lot. Suddenly, the dash board lights went off (speedometer). I realised that my rear wiper, washer was not working either. The auto door lock is also not working. I didn't realize at the time but now that it's -29 celcius, there's not a lot heat coming out even if the fan is at maximum and that the car temperature gauge is in the middle. I looked and found no shorted fuse and my accessoirie relay is working since I have the radio and indicator dash board lights working. Any idea? Thanks Peter

SOURCE: 98 dodge caravan problems

I had the same issue with my dodge caravan and after several attempts by the dealer to fix it, it turned out to be a broken wire. They replaced the relay and it would work for a while and then go blank again. Have the wires checked thoroughly.

SOURCE: my 1997 dodge neon sohc auto check engine light is

First, the easy way is to just bypass the relays all together. Install a switch on the inside of the car like you would fog lights. This will solve the problem of replacing thing after thing and wasting money. Just a $7.00 fix. After doing that unplug all the sensors and then the battery for at least 60 second to reset the computer. Than restart the car and the check engine light should go out, may take a day or so. Same thing with your gas cap, re-securing it will take a day or so for the light to go out. Good luck. I love my '97 neon.

SOURCE: AC & Rear wiper switch button indicator lights blink

The procedure for re-setting the HVAC control panel on a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan follows:
With ignition on but not running
1. turn knob to air vents
2. turn fan knob to ON
3. temperature setting on COLD (2X) {I have dual temp controls}
4. hold top(rear wiper) and bottom (rear wiper with wash) buttons pressing down together until all the buttons cycle through (this will require 1 to 2 minutes of continuous pressing)
I learned this from a very helpful local Dodge service adviser

SOURCE: gauges and odometer don't work

unfurtanetely the the board is burned out due to moisture on the wiring, you may have to replace the board but keep in mind that the wiring must be dry.

My dashboard lights and panel went out, how do i fix this?

This could be a couple of things. First, have you towed a trailer recently or do you have a trailer hitch with light connections? Check to see if the the "running or parking" lights work on the outside of your van. If they don't start looking for a shorted wire since the dash lights are usually on the same fuse circuit as the parking lights are on. If the outside lights work and the fuse isn't blown then your headlight switch is probably to blame and will need to be replaced.

The Dodges had a problem with the circuit board inside the cluster assembly. The fix for them is replacing the circuit board. You are only experiencing the first part of problems. Next the van will intermittently not start. A good firm smack of the dash would normally get it working.

I have a 2006 dodge caravan the dash goes nuts when driveing down the road

Could be an ignition switch on the fritz. My wifes 05 was possessed, and would turn on its radio when no one was around and no key in ignition.

Dash lights were wacky as well.
