I have taken my car to several different places incuding two different chevy places. know one seems to know whats causing the issue. The front rotors get warped and the pads wear out fast. On long trips the brakes sometimes keep pressure even after I let off the pedal. Also the rear drums use there pads fast also. Please help lol
Have you ever had the rotors turned (reconditioned)? If you have you need to replace them. Once they have been turned there is not enough metal in them to dissipate the heat generated from the brakes. If that is not the case you may want to upgrade your disc brakes and your drum brakes to a higher quality pad. I use RockAuto.com pretty often as they show you quite a range of replacement/performance parts from the low end of the price spectrum all the way up to high performance parts. If the brakes are keeping pressure on the drum or are keeping in contact with the drum, you need to have the brake shoes properly adjusted. This is part of normal maintenance. If the disc brakes are keeping in constant contact on one side or the other, be sure the disc brake slides are properly lubricated and not sticking.

Previously mentioned proble. Turned out it was the ABS. I'm sorry I can't remember the part name but I believe it was the main distribution module. But, it is the ABS.system for sure

A couple of possible causes:1. what brand are you replacing them with? There is a lot of cheap garbage for replacement parts available. You might want to shop around to make sure you are getting quality parts. Original equipment should be superior (GM parts), but unfortunately expensive. Of course, when you consider the aggravation, time, and money you have spent already, it would probably be well worth the higher cost. 2. I have heard of problems with warped rotors, due to over tightening lug nuts. Make sure whoever is working on the car puts the wheels back on by hand, not with an air gun, and that they tighten in a staggered pattern, that is, put the 1st lug on so it is finger tight, continue w/ a lug nut across from, it and on until they are all on finger tight, then tighten a bit at a time, until they are tightened evenly to the manufacturers recommended torque. Apparently, putting a nut on and pounding the heck on it w/ an air gun (which is probably set to high) will warp the drum.

Check for clearance between the rotor and the caliper, and caliper to the rim.Make sure one ,or more of the brake pads where not accidently put on backwards, with the metal on the rotor,it happens sometimes.
