Oil and service lights

The oil reminder has to be reset. You can find it in the owners manual. If you tell me what year, make and model it is I could figure it out for you.

Try re-setting the oil change light and see if it quits. Should re-set itself. Not oil sending unit, that tells computer and light when there is a problem like no oil pressure.

TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO PEPBOY AND TELL THEM TO RESET THE SERVICE INDICATOR

That could be from not having any oil pressure "oil pump failure, clogged filter, etc" or from a faulty oil pressure sending unit. More tests would need to be performed but is it really an oil pressure light or is it the change oil light. More info would be needed

Not sure how long you have owned a BMW. These cars have a service light as you see. When the light comes on it basically telling you that the oil needs changing and serviced. When you do have the oil changed, make sure the light is reset by the business. The light has to be reset or it will stay on. I'm thinking the light is on a 3000 miles service.

the oil level is low thats why the light is flicking and the oil must be change if the light is on more less u have to service the car

The change oil light needs to be reset after each oil change...some shops are not knowledgeable on how to do this...Your owners manual will instruct you how to reset the oil change light...The service engine soon is a catch all for low fluids and other needs...Be sure to check your oil level again...to clear the service engine soon light, you can disconnect either battery cable for 15 minutes then reconnect...if the service engine stays on...then you need to have your Grand Am checked...Auto Zone does a free diagnostic of check engine light codes...:)

have you tried changing the oil sending unit they can get bad also make sure wire to sending unit did not get pulled off

The change oil light must be reset by you manually. Procedure listed in your owner's manual. The ABS light is on because there is a problem with the Anti-Lock brake system. Normal braking will still work. This needs to be looked at by a professional The Trac Off light is on because the Traction Control is turned off. Turn it back on. There is a button somewhere to turn it on and off. Maybe be on the shifter. The Service Engine light is on because there is a problem with the emissions control system. Have the ECU scanned with an OBD2 scan tool to recover the fault code. This code will help to diagnose the problem.

The oil pan has a sensor in it that need to be replaced. It screws in and you may lose some oil.
