My temp gage drops down to 160 and stays there. I have replaced the sensor, and troubleshooting reveals no power to the connector. I cannot find a blown fuse and am not sure which is the fuse for the sensor. This did not occur until I replaced the battery today. Prior to this, everything worked correctly.

Even 160 degree water should blow fairly warm air from the heater. Feel the heater hoses to see if they are hot--if so, then a bypass valve in the heater air-duct system may be in the wrong position--look for loose or damaged vacuum hoses. Check the defroster ports for hot air. Check to see if the temperature gauge drop coincides with the radiator fan coming on. If not, the thermostat may not be working correctly. Also, 160 degrees seems a little cool for a modern engine (check the thermostat).
