Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

Heater fan not operating

Most of the time when a heater blower quits working it is the blower switch that fails rather than the motor. Blower switch can be accessed in the dash panel.

Hi, should be listed as heater blower motor not fans ,the fans is the ones in front of radiator. most common problems are the blower motor resistor, which is in passenger side compartment near fire wall. This is were your blower motor is also. You can check and see if its getting power to resistor, with a test light if power is at resistor, check and see if you are getting power at blower motor if no power there replace resistor. But if you have power at motor replace blower motor. If i can help further just re post. thanks

How come heater fan wont blow

there are a few things that will cause this problem.
1. it could be the heater fan fuse
2. could be the heater fan motor itself
3, a bad switch or relay

check the fuse and then check for voltage at the heater motor itself, if you have voltage at the heater motor,, give the heater motor box a love tap with your hand and see if it starts to turn, if it does not turn or even if it does ( after tapping it ) - it is time to replace the heater motor.

Ford explorer heater fan not working

If this occurs in all positions, check fuse, check for power at the fan motor, if power in all positions replace motor. if no power at fan and fuse is good, check blower motor resistor and blower motor control switch. Replace as required
