Codes p0125 and p1133 and p0175 on toyota 4runner 1999

Has been running fine but past few days the needle started bouncing on the Speedometer while in Park. It resolved itself in under a minute. Is not overheating, heater works, and coolant level is fine. I can't find anything wrong with the thermostat or temp gauge. Could it just be the O2 sensor?

Hello Danielle ---- A code P0125 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • Insufficient warm up time
  • Low engine coolant level
  • Leaking or stuck open thermostat
  • Faulty coolant temperature sensor

The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back...If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or a low coolant level).

A code P0175 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
  • There could be a vacuum leak.
  • There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem

    Possible solutions include:
  • Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
  • Clean the MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
  • Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches
  • Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail
  • Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced.
  • Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)

With the P1133 code, this is almost always pretty cut and dry. You will need to replace the bank 1 air/fuel ratio sensor.

I hope this helps, Happy New Year...

Why would speedometer needle bounce

The needle bounce may be related to the cable, it may be broken or just needs lube.
Remove the speedometer cable, locate the connection at the transmission and unscrew it, then locate the connection at the rear of the speedometer, remove the cable from the car, pull cable out of plastic housing and see if it comes out in two parts, if it does then cable needs replacing.
You will see the cable has two ends, is the cable is broke replace it, a broken cable will sometimes spin and not spin causing needle to jump, also a binding cable will do the same, if cable is good then spray wd40 in to cable and spin by hand. note; if cable is binding you will need to work it so it does not break. good day

1999 toyota camry 6 cylinder check engine trouble codes

That's a lot going on! If those are real errors, you could spend some time and money fixing it. May not be too hard, but if you have an electrical gremlin somwe here causing the problem, then that could be a pain to fix.
If clearing the code for inspection is your goal, you could look into an OBD2 bluetooth scanner to work with your phone. I use one along with Torque for Android. I can check and clear codes with my phone, but I do 95% of my maintenance myself.

Had OBD2 codes P0441 & P0446 on my 1999 Toyota Corolla. Replaced the VSV CHARCOAL EVAPORATORE, disconnected the battery, check engine light went out. came back on this am, took the car to advanced auto...

According to my 2002 Toyota Tundra manual (and it may be different for your car) P0125 is as follows:
Insufficient Coolant Temperature
for Closed Loop Fuel Control

This would seem unrelated to your original problem.
