I spray engine starting fluid in the carburetor.Car won't start and fluid seems to leak out of bottom of car. My Blazer does crank thought. I was driving home from work the other day and engine just cut off. It still turns over. Fuel pump is good and still getting sparks from plugs exc.It has 250.000 miles was running fine. Any advice, really appreciate it.

This could be many problems. But here is one to try. Turn your key on and make sure your fuel pump runs for 3 seconds. It will hum then quit. If you do not hear the pump running with the key turned on, replace fuel pump relay. This may solve your problem.

did you try changing the fuel filter? it could be completely clogged
SOURCE: where do I spray the starter fluid (air intake?)
Follow the large (4") black rubber hose that runs from the air filter box to the engine. You can remove it at the engine end (attaches to the throttle body...you do not have a carburetor) I'd spray carb cleaner in there...it burns as well as gasoline and won't damage anything...starting fluid is very volatile and can. Normally, after running out of fuel, all that you'd need to do is leave the key in the run position for about a minute and you should get fuel up into the system. If it fails to start after several tries, likely something else has gone wrong and you will need some diagnosis to find our exactly what.

starting fluid is a thing of the past. dont use it. this car doesnt have a carb, its a throttle body/ electronic fuel injection system. you most likely have a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator issue. test the fuel pressure, should be anywheres from 35-50 psi
