Are you saying the engine will not crank, or crank but will not start ? None of the engine sensors come into play until after the engine is cranking. Cranking problems can include the neutral safety switch and other factors with the crank circuit back to the key switch.
Sounds similar to my old 94 dodge ram. Battery died at least I thought, replaced it and truck would not turn over. After about three hours of playing around I start checking all my wires and connections any loose wires I tighten or replaced if they looked worn or bad. And I found a ground wire was not connected to frame it came loose. Tightened it and hooked battery up and it started.
Make sure the transmission range selector switch is adjusted correctly it is the switch just below the shift cable post. Also try to start it in Neutral rather than park position.
If it runs down highway fine, but just stalls when off throttle, turning, heater on, etc., I'd pull I.A.C. motor off and clean with throttle body cleaner & retry it. Clean port it came out of at same time too. if it cures it even temporarily, and does it again, replace IAC motor.
