2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, crazy clicking sound under truck!

Im hearing a clicking noise when I first take off.. or right when I start up or if I put it into drive. I had my cousin put it on a lift in the air and we put it into drive and everything sounded great smooth and fine but as soon as we put it back on the ground it started again! What could this possibly be. Transfer case isnt moving if its not in gear, not the axels if not moving.. and engine was just completely rebuilt. What could this be??

Maybe this won't hurt, but to get info:
Make an audio recording to analyze it.
Inspect with bright light the undercarriage around wheel well.
That's all I got.
G'luck.

SOURCE: transfer case knocking

These transfer cases do not have plastic pumps. Do have the transfer case looked at by Jeep tech, it could be as simple as an adjustment on the lever.

Do you have an alarm on this? If you do, that is most likely the problem. There seems to be a problem with the alarms. You may want to have a new key made just in case. Sometimes the keys are magnetically charged and after time, it wears off.

Buzzing sound under dash of 95 jeep grand cherokee

There can't be any noise after 5 minutes. There are capacitors that take a few minutes to drain down. It could be your clock winding or your abs cycling. Listen and see if it's coming from your fuse box a relay

Loud whistling noise while driving.

Does the noise sound as though it is coming from either the front or rear axle and does the noise change as your speed increases. If so it sound as though your axle is whining requiring overhauled if really bad.Common problem

Hitch installation w/electrical wiring for brake

Disconnect all that trailer connector mess and start over. Someone messed up. Do you have a 6- or 7- way RV connector, a 4- or 5-way flat (U-Haul) connector, or what? Was an electric brake box installed under the dashboard for trailer electric brakes?

Better yet, sell me your Jeep cheap, it probably can't be fixed, and it's worthless.
